Endo Wataru, a Japanese midfielder for Stuttgart, has caught Liverpool's attention.
Liverpool will reportedly make a £16 million offer for the 30-year-old after negotiations for Moises Caicedo and Romero Lavia fell down.
Moises Caicedo, 21, turned down Liverpool's offer of around £110 million to join Brighton, choosing instead to sign with Chelsea in a British record deal for £115 million.
Following the summer losses of James Milner, Fabinho, and Jordan Henderson, Endo will fill in for Liverpool in the midfield.
He moved to Stuggart from Sint-Truiden in Belgium in 2019 and has appeared 133 times for the team.
