Adeboye: RCCG invests N61 billion in intervention projects.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), according to its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has invested N61 billion in national intervention projects.

Enoch made this statement on Monday during the opening of the Enoch and Folu Adeboye Dialysis Center at Immanuel General Hospital in the Akwa Ibom local government area of Eket.

Adeboye announced that the center now has three brand-new dialysis machines, a water treatment plant, and a 130 KVA generator. He was speaking on behalf of Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, Intercontinental Overseer, Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) of RCCG.

"We have invested more than N61 billion in intervention initiatives within Nigeria," stated Adeboye.

In the last five years, 154 million people, he said, had benefited from various interventions.

He continued by saying that 1,200 dialysis machines were in good working order at RCCG's medical facilities around the nation.

"Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Bauchi, Borno, Anambra, Enugu, Akwa Ibom, and Abuja are the states that will initially benefit."

"The Love Foundation has donated intensive care units, dialysis centers, cancer screening centers, and primary health centers. This dialysis center will be the 27th in the series of our specialized medical intervention," he stated.

He clarified that the organization had founded critical care units in Lagos, Plateau, Ogun, and Ondo, among other states.

As part of the foundation's effort for the underprivileged, we are dedicating this dialysis facility today and making the choice to invest in the construction of dialysis centers across the country.

"We are present in 197 countries worldwide and have 48,000 operational dialysis centers across the country," he stated.

Despite the foundation having 225 dialysis centers around the nation, he bemoaned the fact that the 220 million people in the nation were not adequately served by these facilities.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Love Foundation is the charitable arm of the Redeemed Christian Church of God. It is active in a number of social, educational, health, media, business, art and culture, governance, and sports intervention initiatives.

He commended Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno for choosing Eket as the location for the dialysis center and for Akwa Ibom as a whole.

At the dialysis center's opening, Governor Eno announced that comparable facilities would be built in each of the state's ten federal constituencies.

"I am giving the Commissioner of Health, along with important partners, the mandate to guarantee the establishment of a dialysis facility in every federal district in the state.

The governor declared, "Commissioner should guarantee me that all 10 of the dialysis centers will be operational by June 2024. We need to make sure that we provide these facilities to our people who have to travel too far to receive dialysis."

Eno stated that his administration had made significant investments in Primary Health Centers and that the state government had already given the go-ahead for staff to be stationed at Immanuel General Hospital in order to open the extra center today.

He clarified that the hospital's staff members would receive training in each of the state's ten federal constituencies.

Dialysis is one method of treating renal diseases, according to Prof. Augustine Umoh, the Akwa Ibom Commissioner for Health.

He claimed that the state government operated dialysis machines at the General Hospital at Away in Onna LGA and the Ibom Specialist Hospital in Uyo.
