APC expresses concern about an alleged attempt to stifle Ododo's victory in the Kogi vote. The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed concern over purported attempts by unidentified individuals to thwart the election of Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo, the party's nominee for governor of Kogi state.

Felix Morka, the national publicity secretary for the APC, encouraged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to preserve the integrity of the valid votes cast by the Kogi voters in a brief statement.

According to the results that have been released and uploaded, "Our Candidate continues to lead by a wide margin in Kogi West and Central, while showing competitively in Kogi East."

We are well aware of the tremendous pressure that trailing opposition party agents and supporters have been putting on INEC employees, including violent threats, with the intention of improperly influencing or interfering with the state's ongoing results collation process.

"We implore INEC to uphold its constitutional obligations to conduct free, fair, and credible elections in the state and guarantee that the Kogi electorate's freely expressed will wins out."
