Court grants N300 million bail to former CBN governor Emefiele.

Justice Hamza Muazu of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has granted bail to the former CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, in the sum of three hundred million naira. 

The bail conditions include two sureties who must own landed property in Maitama and deposit the certificate of occupancy of the properties. 

Emefiele is ordered to deposit his travel documents, be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre until bail conditions are met, and seek court leave before any travels within the FCT jurisdiction. 

The full trial is set to commence on November 28.
