Gov. Mutfwang: The Plateau would soon become the agricultural center of Nigeria
Plateau Governor Caleb Mutfwang has reiterated his willingness to revitalize the agriculture industry in order to strengthen the state's economy.

At the 37th Reunion Service for former students of Boys High School, Gindiri, on Sunday, Mutfwang made this statement.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), former pupils of Gindiri's Boys and Girls Secondary Schools make up GOSA.

As a member of GOSA, the governor highlighted the vital role that agriculture plays in revitalizing the state's economy and pledged to implement a multisectoral strategy to revive the state's important agricultural initiatives.

He pledged to accomplish the goal by forging closer and longer-lasting ties with key governmental institutions.

"To strengthen the state's economy, my administration will prioritize agriculture more," he declared.

Mutfwang declared that he had established a strong security framework that would guarantee the state's long-term peace.

But he asserted that everyone had to work together to protect people and property, especially in unstable areas.

The governor expressed gratitude to his alma school for producing leaders and captains of industry that had a good influence on both their local communities and beyond.

Our university has a reputation for producing capable leaders. The late J.D. Gomwalk, the first governor of the Benue Plateau at the time, is a prime example.

He declared, "He made a significant contribution to the peace, unity, and development of Nigeria and the Plateau."

Rev. Benjamin Pokol, General Secretary of the Church of Christ in Nation (COCIN), challenged Nigerians to always be change agents for the better in his sermon.

In addition to urging Christians to serve God obediently, Pokol asked GOSA members to uphold their reputation as excellent representatives of their university.

Rev. Amos Mohzoh, President of COCIN, praised the governor's dedication to resolving the state's present security issues.

He also applauded the government's efforts in luring federal initiatives that would improve the lives of the populace.

According to NAN, among the dignitaries present were politicians, business moguls, technocrats, traditional rulers, and religious authorities.
