Nigerians are cautioned against irregular migration by Dabiri-Erewa in Canada.
The Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has encouraged Nigerians traveling abroad to do so legally and with proper documentation to avoid unfavorable consequences.

Dabiri-Erewa emphasized this during her visit to Nigerians in one of the shelters in Brampton, Canada, advising those planning to travel without proper documentation and seek asylum upon arrival to refrain from doing so.

She highlighted the increasingly challenging situation in many countries. Local individuals, including Pastor Vivian Eruka and Wale Rabiu, showed support by providing resources and counseling, with an immigration consultant, Bayo Adedosu, advising against speaking negatively about Nigeria to prevent potential repercussions and urging patience and adherence to the law.
