Prof. Kate Omenugha has been named acting vice chancellor of the state-owned Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University by Anambra governor Chukwuma Soludo.
This was revealed in a statement released on Wednesday by Mr. Christian Aburime, Soludo's press secretary.
Omenugha was Anambra's Commissioner for Education until recently, and he teaches mass communication at Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka.
Aburime claims that Prof. Omenugha has been appointed as acting vice-chancellor, succeeding Prof. Greg Nwakoby, whose term has ended, with the approval of Gov. Soludo.
Additionally, he gave his approval to Prof. Louis Orakwue, the Anambra State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project's (RAAMP) project coordinator.
He said that their appointments would take effect right away.
