Three people are apprehended by Ogun police in connection with the Gateway Poly heist.
The Ogun State Police Command apprehended three suspected armed robbers, identified as Taiwo Oredoyin (27), Taiwo Kuti (35), and Folorunsho Saheed (36), for their involvement in an attack on Ipara-Remo and Ode-Remo communities.

These areas host students of the Gateway Polytechnic, Saapade, where a female student was reportedly raped in Remo North Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Initially, the suspects denied their involvement, but a victim from their last robbery operation positively identified one member of the three-man gang.

The arrests followed a proactive operation initiated after a security summit organized by the Commissioner of Police, Alamutu Abiodun, in response to recent shooting incidents at Gateway Polytechnic.

All three suspects are residents of Isara town in Ogun State, and the police recovered a locally fabricated pistol with two live cartridges, along with two Samsung phones from them.

The suspects, currently undergoing interrogation, will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation upon completion of the preliminary inquiry.
