In a Christmas message delivered on Sunday in Enugu to the News Agency Nigeria (NAN), Eneukwu urged Nigerians to let their declarations of love and brotherhood speak louder than words.
"I extend heartfelt Christmas greetings to each and every one of you as we joyfully gather to celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ," he said.
"Let us work hand in hand, transcending our differences for the greater good of our beloved country," he urged, adding that as Christians and fellow Nigerians, "we share a common purpose and vision for a better Nigeria."
"Let us encourage ourselves to use our freedom as an opportunity to serve one another in love," stated Eneukwu, in keeping with the Christmas spirit.
"As Christians, we are obligated by our faith to live as examples of selflessness, love, and compassion all year long, but particularly during this joyous time of year.
Thus, let the values of love and togetherness govern our relationships with one another, irrespective of our political affiliations. As a cohesive Christian community, we can work toward a more peaceful Nigeria.
Beyond the excitement of the celebrations, the APC Chieftain stated that Christmas is a time to show our love and support to those who are less fortunate and in need.
"Let us extend our hands and hearts to others in our community, positively influencing the lives of those who might be going through difficult times.
May the pleasure of Christmas flood your homes and souls, my dear fellow Christians. May this season serve as a reminder to shine brightly for peace, love, and harmony," he said.
