On Friday, December 1, 2023, multiple media outlets reported that FAAN implemented a prohibition on Ghana Must Go baggage.

The reports said that the prohibition specifically applies to passengers transiting via international airports within the country.

In response to the reports, FAAN released a concise statement on their official X platform, denying the implementation of any prohibition.

They clarified that the prohibition was imposed by Ethiopian Airlines.
