The Executive Director of MURIC, Prof. Ishaq Akintola, made this announcement in an Abuja statement on Wednesday.
On Sunday, December 3, 120 innocent villagers were killed by army drones in Tudun-Biri, Igabi Local Government Area, Kaduna State. The vile act happened as the victims were honoring Prophet Muhammad's (SAW) birthday.
Even still, the Nigerian Army has acknowledged that it was responsible for the attack. We vehemently denounce the murder of defenseless and innocent villagers. The incident demonstrates a lack of professionalism and irresponsibility.
"MURIC requests a thorough examination of the events leading up to this catastrophe. The entire force of the law must be applied to those held accountable for the heartless killing of these defenseless Muslim peasants.
"We also want full restitution for the lives killed and the property damaged in this careless attack. Soldiers shouldn't use law-abiding individuals as legitimate targets for their killing machines because life is precious.
