Emefiele: EFCC visit to Head Office clarified by Dangote Group

The Dangote Group has affirmed its willingness to cooperate with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following the agency's visit to the company's Lagos head office. 

The visit is part of the EFCC's investigation into 52 companies, including Dangote Group, regarding forex transactions in the last decade. 

The group assured its commitment to assisting the EFCC in its inquiries and called for stakeholders' patience and understanding. 

Dangote Group stated that it had received a letter from the EFCC on December 6, 2023, seeking details of foreign exchange allocations by the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2014 to date.
