KWASU receives a 120-seat lecture hall from CIBN.
The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has initiated the construction of a multimillion digital hall at Kwara State University (KWASU).

The national chairman of CIBN, Ken Opara, referred to the project as a CIBN legacy and mentioned that it would be completed in three months. The digital hall, named "The CIBN Bankers Hall," is the ninth of its kind across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

Opara highlighted that the gesture was to recognize KWASU's commitment to learning and promote research and education.

The 160-seater lecture theater will be equipped with modern technology for training and development, serving as a hub for research, conferences, and academic engagements.

Opara urged other professional groups to follow CIBN's example in supporting education, emphasizing the importance of creating capacity and connecting students to economic reality.

The Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shaykh Luqman Jimoh, expressed pride in KWASU's collaboration with professional bodies, stating that the project affirmed the university's relevance to such organizations. Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq commended KWASU for its positive contributions to state and national development through such initiatives.
