President Bola Tinubu has urged equitable access to capital for developing nations, emphasizing the need for fair opportunities instead of sympathy.
Speaking at the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Kampala, Uganda, Tinubu, represented by Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, highlighted the financial challenges faced by Non-Aligned countries, with a combined population of over 4.4 billion but total resources less than some individual countries.
Tinubu advocated for a financing mechanism and equitable access to capital markets to address the financial constraints of developing nations, emphasizing collaboration to tackle global challenges like climate change and inequality.
