Makinde delivers thirty vehicles to Oyo security agencies.
To further assist security forces in protecting people and property in the state, the Oyo government on Thursday gave them additional thirty functioning cars.

Presenting the vehicles on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde, Barr. Bayo Lawal, the deputy governor of Oyo, stated that it was a part of their endeavor to fortify the state's security framework.

Lawal went on to say that the cars fulfilled some of Makinde's earlier pledges before the general election in 2023, which was held in February and March.

I like to think that this is a pledge honored. The governor pledged to strengthen the state's security system so much that even lawbreakers would be reluctant to enter the state ahead of the general election in 2023.

"The governor delivered about 75 vehicle units to be distributed to various Divisional Police Headquarters in Oyo State while he was commissioning the rebuilt Ojoo Police Station." We were all present for the momentous occasion.

"We praise God this morning that the governor is keeping his pledge to transfer the remaining vehicles to the Divisional Police Headquarters, as per his previous commitments.

"The governor stated that we should turn over the cars in order to keep Oyo State secure at the conclusion of our security meeting yesterday. The primary function of these must be to maintain security.

In order to uphold peace and security in the state, he further clarified, the Oyo government is providing 30 units of security cars.

The deputy governor added that he thought that despite all the efforts being made, criminals would find other places to commit their horrible deeds.
