A blast of methane in a Siberian mine kills three.

A methane explosion at the Udachny diamond mine in Russia's Yakutia region resulted in three miners' deaths and injuries to two others. 

The mine, owned by Alrosa, a state diamond company, is located in the town of Mirny, known for being one of the coldest areas globally. 

The Udachny mine, among the world's deepest open-pit mines, experienced the methane outburst, leading to the tragic incident. 

Regional authorities are providing medical assistance, and measures to enhance industrial safety are being reinforced. 

Alrosa has pledged support to the affected miners' families.
