A tribunal mandates that INEC deliver materials for the Kogi gubernatorial poll in 48 hours.

The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Kogi has directed INEC to provide certified copies of electoral materials within 48 hours to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the Nov. 11 off-cycle election. 

Additionally, the tribunal ordered INEC to permit SDP's forensic experts to examine specific electoral materials, including the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System and result sheets for various Local Government Areas. 

The order, issued by Justice Ado Birnin-Kudu, aims to facilitate the tribunal's proceedings and comply with constitutional and electoral regulations. 

SDP filed the request as part of its petition against the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the election. 

The case is adjourned to Nov. 29 for the submission of INEC's compliance report and further hearing.
