Diabetes screenings are provided for free by Lions Club International.
Lions Club International, District 404B4 Nigeria, a non-governmental organization, conducted free diabetes screening and awareness exercises for Lagos residents at Isolo General Hospital.

The initiative, part of the program during the three-day visit of International President Dr. Patti Hill, aimed to address the challenges and threats of diabetes, especially in November, recognized as Diabetes Awareness Month.

Mr. Samson Abodunrin, District Governor for 404B4 Nigeria, emphasized the importance of regular medical check-ups and encouraged everyone to prioritize their health.

Over 150 people were screened during the event, with three individuals identified with high levels of diabetes, promptly referred for further consultation.

The campaign received positive contributions from Lions Club members and individuals involved in the program.

Additionally, Lions Club International District 404B4 Nigeria is partnering with the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) for a three-day skills acquisition program focusing on liquid soap, fruit juice, and smoked fish production, scheduled from Nov. 28 to Nov. 30. Participants will receive a starter pack for empowerment.
