Dino's claims of an attempt to rig the elections are rejected by the APC

Dino's claims of an attempt to rig the elections are rejected by the APCAllegations made by Dino Melaye, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), that the ruling party in the state is preparing to sabotage the impending governorship elections have been refuted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State.

In a statement released on Thursday, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the spokesperson for the APC Governorship Campaign Council, called the accusations "archaic" and "incongruent."

Melaye's claims that Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC are looking for thugs to rig the election, according to Fanwo, are an outdated tactic used in warfare to accuse opponents of your objectives, and they have no place in today's political rhetoric.

He stated that the APC is certain it will win the next election and that it will use every available legal, constitutional, and administrative tools to ensure that it does.

Because the Kogi people overwhelmingly embraced our candidate, Femi Fanwo declared, "As incongruent as the allegations are, it is important to state unequivocally here that as a party, we will deploy all legal, constitutional, and administrative means to protect our victory."

"We are competing to win in a free and fair manner. While some are competing to raise money for their extravagant and careless lifestyle, others are there to make deals that will benefit them in the long run.

Fanwo went on to accuse Melaye of acting theatrically, pointing out that Melaye knows he will not win the next election and has resorted to making unfounded accusations and setting off false alarms.

"Dino Melaye knows he has little chance in the upcoming election, which is why he often creates drama by making unfounded accusations and setting off false alarms. His 'ticket' set fire to the PDP, resulting to the discovery of important leaders and officials at all levels of the party. For him, the game is over," Fanwo said.

Thus, he issued a challenge to Melaye, saying that the APC, with its strong political apparatus, is poised to win a free and fair election, and that Melaye should present his allegations to security agencies and be ready to defend them.

We issue a challenge to the PDP's shelved governorship candidate, asking him to provide his evidence to security services and stand prepared to defend it. With two senators, six members of the House of Representatives, twenty-two members of the House of Assembly, twenty-one council chairmen, and every ward council member in the state, the APC possesses every political structure needed to prevail in a free and fair gubernatorial election. The people will continue to support our governor's party, as they have done since 2015. He has performed so admirably.

Fanwo also praised Governor Yahaya Bello for his dedication to security and the efficacy of his security framework, but he issued a warning that any attempt to tamper with the poll on November 11 will encounter fierce opposition from the security and law enforcement agencies.

Fanwo called on the people of Kogi State to show their support for the APC by turning out in large numbers, despite what he described as the PDP's "fear-mongering attitude."
