Insurgency: Funding for Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe announced by FG
The federal government has put the necessary framework in place to introduce the Lake Chad Scholarship Program for the most insurgent-affected states of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe.

According to a statement released yesterday by the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja, the action is a reaction to the current insurgency and how it affects education in the states that are affected.

Vice President Kashim Shettima will be the featured speaker at the program's debut and scholarship portal reveal, which takes place in Abuja on November 14, 2023, according to the release.

"The goal of this program is to give graduate and postgraduate students from the states of Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe—three areas severely impacted by insurgent activity—financial support."

"We will launch the scholarship site as part of the event, which is a digital platform that makes it easy for qualified applicants to apply for scholarships. The statement continues, "This gateway represents our dedication to enhancing access to education in the area.

It stated that the Multi-sectoral Crisis Recovery Project Additional Financing (MCRP-AF) will be used to unveil the event.
