A fugitive suspect in the kidnapping of a former INEC employee on Saturday was taken into custody by Cross River police on Sunday.When he was apprehended, the suspect was concealed in the ceiling of his girlfriend's Calabar home.
He has admitted that the abduction was started by the victim's tenant.
The arrest of the fourth suspect in the kidnapping of Mrs. Caroline Bassey, who was freed by the police hours later, was verified by police spokesman SP Irene Ugbo.
Three suspects in the crime were earlier detained by police on Saturday, but the suspect who was detained in the ceiling escaped.
