Dates for 2024 UTME/DE registration are announced by JAMB, and costs go up.
The 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) registration process has officially begun with the construction of profiles, according to a statement released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

In a statement released on Sunday, JAMB said that interested candidates can now start setting up their online profiles on the JAMB website. The formal sale of application materials is scheduled to start on Monday, January 15, 2024.

Additionally, it said that potential candidates have until Monday, February 26, or six weeks, to finish the registration process.

The examination authority further stated that applicants' registration fees for the 2024 UTME vary based on whether they choose to take part in the optional mock exam. Those who choose not to participate would pay N6,200, while those who choose to participate will pay N7,700.

The price for foreign candidates' application documents was $30.

The registration period for individuals wishing to be admitted by Direct Entry begins later, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and ends on Thursday, March 28, 2024, according to JAMB.

Additionally, it stated that applicants can print their examination slips starting on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, and that the 2024 UTME mock exam would take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024. This will allow students to assess their readiness and pinpoint areas for development prior to the actual exam.

The actual main UTME will run from Friday, April 19, 2024, to Monday, April 29, 2024, spanning a period of ten days.
